Tivat is a city of culture. A large number of cultural events that are organized throughout the year, numerous events that mostly become traditional, the already regionally known Festival of Mediterranean Theater “Purgatorije”, speaks in favor of this thesis. The backbone of a dynamic and quality-recognized cultural program is the Centar za Kulturu Tivat\/Tivat Cultural Center. A continuous investment in program content and infrastructure is a main condition for maintaining the achieved level of work.<\/p>\n
In 2018 and 2019, a reconstruction and equipping of the Great Hall in the “Workers’ Home” “Gracija Petkovi\u0107”, worth \u20ac 457,000, took place. New heating and cooling systems have been installed, the lighting technology system has been modernized, fire protection conditions have been improved, and new seats have been installed in the auditorium with a capacity of 372 seats. The floor surface has also been changed, and the entrances and exits have been adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
In the past period, the very demanding process of functional unification of the complex of the Cultural Center, the DTV Partizan facility with the space of the “Workers’ Home” “Gracija Petkovi\u0107” was completed, which in this way become a unique technological unit of the so-called big and small stage that places this complex among a few of a\u00a0 better equipped and fcultural institutions in Montenegro.<\/p>\n
In two phases, a total of \u20ac 481,000 was invested in the reconstruction of the DTV \u201cPartizan\u201d facility. These works included complete reconstruction of the interior and exterior, construction works, works on the facade, replacement of carpentry, installation of the stage and construction of the gallery space, painting works, works on lighting, heating and cooling systems, complete furnishing of the space\u2026
\nDuring 2018 and 2019, a little over \u20ac 950,000 was invested in the facilities of the Cultural Center Tivat, along with part of the purchased equipment, which is the largest investment for these purposes, after 2001-2002 and equipping and reconstruction of the Summer Stage.<\/p>\n
JU “Museum and Gallery” Tivat was founded in late 2017 and is located in the complex of the former summer house Bu\u0107a-Lukovi\u0107, which consists of a residential building, a tower and a family chapel. The building, once a residential building, which now houses a gallery space and houses the administration, was renovated in 2019, and the total value of the works was \u20ac 177,000. This has significantly improved the working conditions of the institution. The rehabilitation of the building of the tower “Bu\u0107a Lukovi\u0107” follows, and the value of the planned works is \u20ac 90,000. The Ministry of Culture provided \u20ac 50,000 for this purpose.
