The meeting discussed the importance of the active civil sector for the well-being of citizens and pointed out the tax and other legal obligations that non-governmental organizations have.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Secretary Borka Mr\u0161ulja and independent advisor for the prevention of addiction Aleksandar Dakovi\u0107 addressed the audience from the Secretariat for Social Activities of the Municipality of Tivat. The meeting was also attended by the manager of the municipality Patricia Pobri\u0107, who gave a presentation on legal obligations and development opportunities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Secretary for Social Affairs Borko Mr\u0161ulja pointed out that the Municipality of Tivat was elected for the second time to participate in the Regional Program for Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD2), implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and funded by the European Union. Unlike the previous call, when local governments participated independently, this year&#8217;s program envisages participation in clusters with other municipalities in Montenegro. The municipality of Tivat has taken part with the coastal municipalities of Kotor, Budva and Herceg Novi, and the program will last for the next two years. During this period, NGOs will, in addition to the local public tender, have additional funds available in the total amount of about 200,000.00 euros, in order to improve their capacities and contribute to the community by solving strategic goals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Independent advisor Aleksandar Dakovi\u0107 pointed out the importance of motivating and engaging young people in the work of non-governmental organizations, especially having in mind that young people are the focus of the ReLOaD2 program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to strengthen partnerships between local government and the NGO sector, representatives of the Municipality of Tivat pointed out that they are open to any kind of cooperation and support, and that in the future they will organize more meetings and trainings that will contribute to strengthening the capacity of local NGOs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In order to improve the non-governmental sector, representatives of the Tivat local government last Friday organized a meeting with non-governmental organizations based in the municipality.
