From September 15 to 21: Numerous Free Activities for Visitors from Montenegro and the Region<\/em><\/p>\n

The Ocean Live Park was officially opened on the Pine Promenade in Tivat, serving as the central hub for the final stage of the prestigious European regatta, The Ocean Race Europe 2025<\/em>. Over the next seven days, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in more than 50 program activities \u2013 ranging from scientific workshops and university presentations to concerts, film screenings, and theater performances.<\/p>\n

The educational program of Ocean Live Park is organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Maritime Studies and the Institute of Marine Biology, while the cultural segment offers a variety of artistic activities at multiple locations. During the opening ceremony, representatives of national and local institutions highlighted the importance of such a prestigious sailing event for promoting Montenegro\u2019s maritime tradition and positioning Tivat and the Bay of Kotor on the global nautical map.<\/p>\n

As Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulovi\u0107 noted<\/strong>, The Ocean Race Europe 2025<\/em> is more than a sporting regatta \u2013 it is a symbol of connecting culture, people, and tradition.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe arrival of the world\u2019s most prestigious sailing teams in our bay waters represents a historic moment and a confirmation of Montenegro\u2019s international reputation. The Government of Montenegro views this opportunity not only as a boost for economic development and new jobs, but also as a way to strengthen the country\u2019s tourism identity. The Ocean Race Europe 2025 carries a strong message about preserving the seas and natural resources, a value to which Montenegro is deeply committed. We are confident that the Bay of Kotor will shine in all its beauty, showcasing its culture and hospitality to the world,\u201d said Radulovi\u0107.<\/em><\/p>\n

The President of the Municipality of Tivat, \u017deljko Komnenovi\u0107<\/strong>, expressed his satisfaction that Tivat is hosting the regatta finale, becoming a sports epicenter of Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy sailing, the beautiful September weather, and the numerous activities organized for visitors. It is also a chance to educate ourselves further, to raise awareness about the importance of caring for the sea and the unique bay environment \u2013 a valuable resource we have inherited, manage, and must preserve for future generations,\u201d<\/em> said Komnenovi\u0107, inviting all citizens of Montenegro to visit Tivat during the event.<\/p>\n

The Ocean Live Park will also feature the United Nations Mission, with programs focused on sustainable development and the protection of marine and coastal ecosystems. UN Resident Coordinator Caroline Tiso<\/strong> emphasized that Montenegro\u2019s coastline is more than a stunning landscape \u2013 it is a lifeline.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough small in size, Montenegro has immense natural wealth. Every coastal state \u2013 large or small \u2013 has a role in protecting our seas and oceans,\u201d Tiso said, stressing that oceans face unprecedented pressures.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cRising temperatures, pollution, and plastic waste are increasingly threatening marine ecosystems. It is time for decisive, united action. Oceans belong to all humanity and must be protected collectively. Just as sailors work together to overcome waves, states and communities must unite to protect our shared lifeline \u2013 our seas and oceans,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

According to Richard Brisius, Race Director<\/strong>, The Ocean Race Europe<\/em> has been the ultimate test for teams since 1973 and, for 50 years, has also sought new ways to connect the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt Ocean Race, we are firmly committed to restoring ocean health. As Ambassador Peter Thomson, the UN Special Envoy for the Ocean, reminds us \u2013 we cannot have a healthy planet without healthy oceans. Together in the Bay of Kotor, we have brought not only the race but also a mission to protect the oceans and unite people worldwide. In today\u2019s world, more than ever, this is a legacy we are building here together,\u201d<\/em> Brisius emphasized.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the organizers, Captain Vladimir \u0160parovi\u0107, President of the Organizing Committee of The Ocean Race Boka Bay<\/em><\/strong>, invited all citizens and visitors to explore Ocean Live Park over the coming days.<\/p>\n

The ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening of Ocean Live Park was performed by Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulovi\u0107 and the race ambassador, Montenegrin sailor Milivoj Duki\u0107. The Park\u2019s program over the next seven days includes scientific presentations, children\u2019s workshops, exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, and discussions with researchers.<\/p>\n
