The presidents of the municipalities of Tivat<\/span><\/span> and \u017dabljak<\/span><\/span>, \u017deljko Komnenovi\u0107<\/span><\/span> and Rado\u0161 \u017dugi\u0107<\/span><\/span>, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Governor of the Pardubice Region<\/span><\/span> (Czech Republic), Martin Netolick\u00fd<\/span><\/span>, establishing a framework for future cooperation in the fields of culture, sports, education, economy, environmental protection, tourism, and other areas of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

The Memorandum was signed during a multi-day visit of the delegations from Tivat and \u017dabljak to the Pardubice Region.<\/p>\n

The Memorandum places special emphasis on cooperation and support in the process of European integration through the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of partnerships between local communities.<\/p>\n

During the working meeting with Governor Martin Netolick\u00fd, project proposals were presented that the two municipalities will submit for support from a special fund of the Pardubice Region intended for partner cities and regions, with a total value of \u20ac350,000. The maximum amount of support per individual project is up to \u20ac100,000.<\/p>\n

The Municipality of Tivat will submit a project aimed at improving the waste management system, including the procurement of recycling machines, semi-underground waste containers, and containers for the collection and transport of green waste, with the goal of further enhancing communal infrastructure and environmental protection.<\/p>\n

The Municipality of \u017dabljak will submit three development projects: the construction of a bus station with a souvenir shop, the adaptation of an existing garage, and the establishment of an IT cycling hub, all intended to improve the tourist offer and support the further development of the local community.<\/p>\n

The President of the Municipality of Tivat, \u017deljko Komnenovi\u0107, thanked the hosts for their warm welcome and highlighted the importance of establishing institutional cooperation with the Pardubice Region.<\/p>\n

\u201cSigning the Memorandum represents an important step toward strengthening cooperation in areas significant for the citizens of Tivat, \u017dabljak, and the Pardubice Region. We consider the initiative to establish a direct air route between Tivat and Pardubice particularly important, as it would make Montenegro more accessible to Czech tourists. Establishing this air connection between Tivat and Pardubice will be one of our key priorities,\u201d announced Komnenovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The President of the Municipality of \u017dabljak, Rado\u0161 \u017dugi\u0107, emphasized that cooperation with the Pardubice Region goes beyond the financial aspect alone and represents an important step in connecting local communities and strengthening European partnerships.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe focus of our cooperation is not solely on financial support \u2013 it is important for us to build friendly relations and create partnerships across Europe, and this regional cooperation also represents the beginning of Montenegro\u2019s European path. The projects we will propose will contribute to the further development of \u017dabljak as a tourist destination,\u201d said \u017dugi\u0107.<\/p>\n

Governor of the Pardubice Region Martin Netolick\u00fd thanked the Montenegrin hosts for the hospitality shown to the regional delegation during their visit to Montenegro in November last year, recalling that the Regional Parliament had approved the signing of the Memorandum with Tivat and \u017dabljak.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to officially confirm our partnership with Tivat and \u017dabljak today and to open the door for concrete cooperation through the implementation of development projects,\u201d said Netolick\u00fd.<\/p>\n
