Fifth Chemical Treatment of Palm Trees

The Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that on Friday, August 1, 2025, the fifth chemical treatment of Canary Date Palm trees (Phoenix canariensis) on public areas will be carried out this year, aimed at preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).

The treatment will be performed by the authorized company DOO “Ekoplant” from Podgorica. In case of adverse weather conditions (wind, rain), the treatment will be postponed, and the public will be notified in a timely manner.

Beekeepers in the Tivat area are kindly requested to adequately protect their bee colonies.
