First Chemical Treatment of Palm Trees

The Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that on Monday, March 30, 2026, the first chemical treatment this year of Canary Island date palms (Phoenix canariensis) on public areas will be carried out, with the aim of preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).

The treatment will be conducted by the authorized company DOO “Veterinum” from Ulcinj. In case of unfavorable weather conditions (wind or rain), the treatment will be postponed, and the public will be informed in a timely manner.

Beekeepers in the Tivat area are kindly requested to take appropriate measures to protect their bee colonies.
