Ambassador of Canada Visits Tivat
The President of the Municipality of Tivat, Željko Komnenović, hosted yesterday the Ambassador of Canada to Montenegro, Serbia, and North Macedonia, H.E. Michelle Cameron, who is currently visiting Montenegro and is in Tivat for the first time. During the meeting in the president’s office, Ambassador Cameron highlighted that Tivat is recognized as a successful example of development and a model tourist town for others to follow.
During the conversation, Ambassador Cameron was introduced to Tivat's future development plans, as well as the current challenges faced by the local government. Komnenović congratulated Her Excellency on her recent appointment and emphasized the longstanding excellent cooperation with the Canadian Embassy, particularly noting that one of the largest foreign investments in Tivat was initiated and realized by Canadian citizen and honorary citizen of Tivat, Peter Mank.
Komnenović briefed the ambassador on successful past collaborations in the cultural sector and expressed hope that the Municipality of Tivat and the Canadian Embassy will continue to implement beneficial projects for all Tivat citizens and visitors in the future.
