Charity New Year’s Bazaar for Tina
A large number of visitors, participants, and significant funds raised marked the charity New Year’s Bazaar held today at Magnolia Square in Tivat. In less than two hours, along with an accompanying entertainment program, €7,359 was raised through the sale of holiday decorations and treats. The funds are intended for young Tina Pean and her family.
The bazaar was officially opened with a short speech by the Mayor of Tivat, Željko Komnenović, who invited attendees to contribute to this humanitarian cause through their purchases, emphasizing that the holidays are a time to extend support and friendship to one another.
The event featured creative dance performances by the dance clubs “Modest” and “Bellissima,” as well as songs and dances by the youth ensemble of KUD “Boka” and the choir of Tivat’s Music School. A highlight for the youngest visitors was the appearance of Santa Clauses—four members of Tivat’s Fire and Rescue Service—descending onto the square from the balcony of the municipal building, carrying sacks of candy. Gingerbread cookies with the fire department’s logo were particularly popular.
Over 20 stalls showcased handmade items, souvenirs, food, and holiday decorations, contributed by various organizations, institutions, and businesses, including:
- Schools and institutions: OŠ “Drago Milović,” SMŠ “Mladost,” JPU “Bambi,” International Knightsbridge School, and the Music School of Tivat.
- Non-governmental organizations: Women’s Organization Tivat, Circle of Serbian Sisters, NGO “Đurđevo Brdo,” NGO “Harlekin,” and the Youth Center Tivat.
- Other contributors: Tivat Red Cross, Una Montenegro’s “Meštri o’ konopa,” Komunalno Tivat, Tivat Health Center, Women’s Club of SO Tivat, and entrepreneurs supported by the Business Info Center, such as Luštica Natural Cosmetics, Teddy Playroom, and Tailoring Shop Nikol.
Additional funds were raised in a photo booth hosted by the Tivat Tourism Organization and photographer Miko Đuričić, with support from a professional hairstylist and makeup artist. Technical support for the event was provided by the Tivat Cultural Center and Komunalno Tivat. Free advertising space was offered by “Metropolis,” and balloon decorations were supplied by “Happy Balloons” Tivat.
The event was initiated and organized by the Municipality of Tivat, which expressed its gratitude to everyone who purchased items or donated funds. A dedicated donation account for the event remains open for contributions: 510-1532-03 NEW YEAR’S CHARITY BAZAAR.
