Completion of Works on the Construction of Road S6 Župa–Kava
The Municipal Directorate for Investments has completed the construction of Road S6 from the Župa Češljar Urban Development Plan (DUP). The works, valued at €845,208.60, were carried out by the company Indel Inžinjering DOO and included a complete reconstruction of the existing Župa Street and the construction of a new section toward the Kava settlement, with the intention of connecting to Bradaševo Street.
The newly constructed road is approximately 500 meters long, with two lanes and sidewalks on both sides. New water, stormwater, and sewage pipes were installed within the roadbed, along with telecommunications and internet provider cables. The section has been equipped with vertical and horizontal traffic signage, as well as a new public lighting system.
"In certain sections, high retaining walls were constructed, and due to the terrain composition, an adequate drainage system was installed, particularly at the Pijavica site," said Vlado Brguljan, Director of the Directorate for Investments. "The plan is to continue the construction of this road, which will eventually be connected to Bradaševo Street. Due to property issues, it was not possible to fully complete Road S6 at this time."
"From the technical acceptance of the road, only a few minor works remain, and our intention is to develop new facilities in this settlement. On this section, we plan to build a children’s playground, and we will also arrange a small parking area that has already been constructed," he added.
