Congratulations on the Occasion of World Press Freedom Day
I extend my sincere congratulations to all journalists on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day.
The responsibility carried by the spoken and written word is a heavy one, as media professionals are obliged to report and communicate objectively, accurately, and impartially, always in the public interest. The least we, as a society, can do is ensure they have the space and freedom to perform their work without obstruction, pressure, or attempts to exert influence.
For all citizens of Tivat, the work of Radio Tivat holds particular importance. I congratulate the employees of this local public broadcaster on Journalists’ Day, with the hope that, in renovated premises and with new modern equipment, their voice will be heard even more strongly — to the benefit of the entire local community.
