Multimillion investments in the Tivat coastal area
The President of the Municipality of Tivat, Zeljko Komnenovic, and the Director of the Public Company for Management of Marine Assets, Mladen Mikijelj, met today and discussed projects that should be implemented in the zone of marine assets in the municipality of Tivat. After the meeting in the Office of the President of the Municipality, they visited the construction site of the future promenade on Belani Beach.
So far, the municipality of Tivat has invested around € 390,000 in the project of building the Belani promenade, and in this phase, investments of € 100,000 remain. The project was supposed to be completed in March last year, but according to Komnenović, the contractor could not respond to the project's requirements, so a new contractor was reached by cession. In this phase, the project envisages the construction of a coastal promenade, and in later phases a catering facility and a part of the stands for the future pontoon pool. "
Komnenović emphasized that the construction of this promenade now implies a completely different technology of works in the sea, of which 80% of the works have been completed. "By the end of January, the remaining 20% of this phase of construction will be completed," said the mayor, noting that the total value of the first phase is € 500,000, the entire project is around 2 million euros, and the realization of phases II and III is expected next year.
"The former management of both the Maritime Estate and the Municipality of Tivat were more concerned with sketches and conceptual solutions. Unlike them, we are ready to work in the field in order to realize capital projects of coastal development ", said Mladen Mikijelj and announced investments worth 4-5 million euros for next year, which should be the result of cooperation and future talks on between Morsko dobro, the Municipality of Tivat and the State Administration for Public Works.
Commenting on media reports about the abandonment of the coastal development project on the stretch from Donja Lastva to Lepetan, Mikijelj emphasized that "there was no arbitrary expulsion of the project from the Plan for the use of funds, but no conditions were met for the project to be implemented, bearing in mind the need sewerage for Lepetane. ”According to Mikijelj, sewerage should be part of the promenade project. The total value of this promenade will be 2.4 million euros.
The president of the municipality of Tivat said that the works on the promenade in Krašići continued today, and that the project for the continuation of works on this location is ready. The director of the Investment Directorate of the Municipality of Tivat, Budimir Cupara, also attended the field visit. He said that the company "Artek" is performing works on the undisputed section of the promenade, which represents a quarter of the total promenade. The court procedure for the disputed part of the land with "Adria bau" continues, and so far the Municipality has paid a certain amount on the basis of expropriation. They expect the successful implementation of this project from the local government.
