Notice Regarding the Third Chemical Treatment of Canary Date Palms

We inform the public that on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the third chemical treatment of Canary Date Palms (Phoenix canariensis) in public areas will be carried out this year, aimed at preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).

The treatment will be conducted by the authorized company DOO “Ekoplant” from Podgorica. In case of unfavorable weather conditions (wind, rain), the treatment will be postponed, and the public will be notified in a timely manner.

We also take this opportunity to inform beekeepers in the Tivat area to adequately protect their bee colonies during this period.
