The municipality of Tivat allocates 1.5 million euros for culture in 2023
The municipality of Tivat will allocate a total of 1,513,900 euros for culture this year, which is 34 percent more than the previous year. Allocations for culture make up 6.29% of the total city budget, which this year amounts to 24,055,700 euros.
The largest part of the money was allocated for the JU Center for Culture Tivat, for which a total of 879,790 euros was allocated this year, which is 23% more compared to last year's 710,810 euros. From the total budget of CZK this year, EUR 520,000 is planned for the program activities of that cultural institution, which will also receive another EUR 25,000 for showing films in the city cinema.
JU Museum and Gallery Tivat will receive 261,500 euros from the budget this year, which is 29 percent more than in 2022. Of that amount, 80,000 euros is intended for program activities of the Museum and Gallery.
The third public institution, Tivat City Library, will receive 137,700 euros from the budget this year - 7 percent more than last year. 42,000 euros were allocated for the program activities of the City Library.
This year, the Municipality of Tivat, through the Secretariat for Social Activities, will allocate a total of 150,000 euros for the organization of local events of importance for the preservation of local traditions and cultural heritage. This is 5,000 euros more than the budget for supporting cultural events in 2022. 5,000 euros will be allocated to support publishing.
In the public procurement plan for 2023, allocations for the procurement of new equipment for public cultural institutions, in the total amount of 80 thousand euros, are foreseen from the capital budget. Of this, 50,000 euros are earmarked for the purchase of new theater equipment - spotlights, sound systems and other equipment for the Cultural Center, while 30,000 euros will be spent on the purchase of the necessary equipment for the Museum and gallery.
