26 Aug 2025

The Municipality of Tivat and the Tivat Red Cross, in cooperation with the Blood Transfusion Institute of Montenegro, continue organizing voluntary blood donation drives in Tivat’s local communities. The next drive will be held at the premises of the Krtoli Local Community on Sunday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

“We are organizing this drive in collaboration with the Krtoli and Krašići local communities, all with the goal of helping the Blood Transfusion Institute improve its blood reserves,” said the Secretariat for Local Administration of the Municipality of Tivat, responsible for cooperation with local communities.

For the needs of the blood donation drive, sandwiches and refreshments will be provided. Organizers invite residents of the Krtoli and Krašići local communities to participate in this humanitarian action on Sunday.

Anyone who is a healthy adult aged 18–65 can donate blood. Women can donate up to three times per year, and men up to four times. Donors must not have a cold, lung, or heart disease and must not be on any chronic or acute medical therapy. It is also important that donors have not been tattooed in the past six months and meet certain parameters regarding blood pressure, body weight, and body temperature.
