At the meeting between the Municipality and JPMDCG, the importance of the unchanged management regime of the port of Kalimanj was emphasized. This port will remain with its at least 85% communal berths
The Tivat city waterfront, ie the public port of Pine, is managed by the Municipality of Tivat and the Public Company for Management of Marine Assets of Montenegro. Ponta Seljanovo is in the mode of public use, available to all citizens and visitors, and after the main project, the Municipality of Tivat and JP Morsko dobro will build a modern public promenade. This was announced at the meeting of the President of the Municipality of Tivat, Dr. Siniša Kusovac, with Predrag Jelušić, Director of the Public Company for Management of Marine Assets of Montenegro (JPMDCG).
The importance of the unchanged management regime of the port of Kalimanj, in which at least 85% of communal berths will remain, was emphasized at the meeting. Recalling that the Municipality of Tivat has invested in the infrastructure of the port in the last two years, President Kusovac pointed out that the port was built with the funds of the citizens and represents the heart of Tivat.
"These three projects are the most important and a priority of great importance for the citizens of Tivat. It is extremely important that the concession act for Kalimanj will determine the parity of communal berths of at least 85%, that Ponta Seljanovo will be a public beach as advocated by the Municipality of Tivat for a long time and that the Pine waterfront will be managed by the Municipality and the Marine Estate. All these projects, with the additional investments towards the natural reservoir Solila, are the first line of Tivat, visible and obvious and represent a mirror of the city, "the president pointed out.
The director of JPMD Jelušić pointed out that all projects have a public character and are directly connected to the overall coastal infrastructure.
Jelušić pointed out that "The Port Pine is managed by Morsko dobro and the Municipality, on a basis acceptable to all, both citizens and entities that perform some commercial activities in that zone,".
At the meeting, the project of building the promenade Sv. Roko - Lepetane where a 2.5 km long hiking trail should be built, was discussed. The first phase is planned for next year.
