Notice of works on pruning the Aleppo pine tree in the City Park

We would like to take this opportunity to inform the public that on Saturday, January 15, works will be carried out on repairing the damage and pruning a large Aleppo pine tree (lat. Pinus halepensis Miller), which is located in the central part of the Great City Park. The Aleppo pine tree, which is about 28 m high, trunk diameter about 92 cm in diameter, average canopy width about 13 m, suffered damage to the canopy caused by windbreaks, which impaired its vital and aesthetic characteristics, and as such poses a great danger to security of persons and property. During the works, in accordance with the rules of the profession, dry and damaged branches will be removed, and places of breaking large branches will be repaired. Due to the inaccessibility of the location where the tree is located, as well as the size of the tree, the delicate pruning work will be performed by alpinist Dejan Verigo from PK "Subra" in cooperation with "Komunalno" d.o.o. Tivat, which is the manager of this protected natural asset. Citizens are asked not to stay in the central part of the park area during the period of works.
