Deputy Ambassador of Australia visits the Municipality of Tivat
The Mayor of Tivat, Željko Komnenović, met today with the Deputy Ambassador of Australia in Montenegro, Philip Anderson, who made his first official visit to the Tivat local government.
Anderson expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and showed interest in learning more about the town and its future development. The mayor emphasized that Tivat is a highly dynamic and international community, hosting numerous events throughout the year, many of regional and even global significance. Komnenović also briefed the Australian Embassy representative on the challenges facing the local administration, which inevitably come with Tivat's rapid development as a destination.
The Deputy Ambassador noted that a significant number of Australian citizens reside in Tivat, primarily employed in foreign investment projects developing in the municipality. The conversation focused on cultural matters, significant cultural events for the town, and potential support for NGO projects. During the meeting, a framework for potential cooperation in the field of culture was agreed upon.
