Preparation of the 2026 Cultural Events Program

The Secretariat for Social Affairs of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that the preparation of the Cultural Events Program, co-financed from the Municipality of Tivat’s budget for 2026, is currently underway.
Through this call, co-financing is provided for:
- Cultural events of special significance for the Municipality of Tivat;
- Other smaller-scale cultural events and programs that do not require the organization of a competent municipal body.
Cultural events of special significance for the municipality are those that contribute to the preservation of public cultural interest at the municipal and national level through high-quality content and that promote international recognition by:
- Preserving cultural traditions through activities focused on tangible and intangible heritage, as well as practices, knowledge, and skills that ensure continuity;
- Encouraging new forms of artistic expression;
- Contributing to cultural diversity and inclusiveness;
- Meeting the cultural needs of citizens and tourists;
- Linking the cultural and educational sectors;
- Supporting the development of cultural tourism;
- Maintaining quality in all phases of implementation;
- Achieving international visibility through cooperation or participation of international actors.
Other smaller-scale cultural events and programs, which are not aimed at international reach or greater visibility and do not require significant financial support, must meet criteria for preserving public cultural interest, particularly the promotion of local cultural traditions and meeting the cultural needs of citizens.
Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form in a sealed envelope marked:
“Application for the Cultural Events Program – Secretariat for Social Affairs”,
either directly at the Municipality of Tivat registry office (Citizens’ Bureau, 1st floor) or by mail to:
Municipality of Tivat, Secretariat for Social Affairs, Trg Magnolija 1, 85320 Tivat.
The deadline for submission is 14 days from the date of this announcement, i.e., March 13, 2026.
Eligibility: Non-governmental organizations and legal entities from the Municipality of Tivat for events fully held within the municipality. Public institutions and enterprises financed from the Municipality of Tivat’s budget for culture are not eligible. Participants who have already received full funding from such institutions cannot receive financing under this program. Organizers who have not submitted a complete report on the implementation of the previous year’s event cannot participate in this year’s funding allocation.
