The second chemical treatment of palm trees in Tivat

The Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that on Friday, April 24, 2026, the second chemical treatment of palm trees of the Canary Island date palm species (Phoenix canariensis) will be carried out in public areas, with the aim of preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).

The treatment will be carried out by the authorized company DOO “Veterinum” from Ulcinj. In case of unfavorable weather conditions (wind, rain), the treatment will be postponed, and the public will be informed in a timely manner.

Beekeepers from the Tivat area are kindly requested to take appropriate measures to protect their bee colonies.
