Ban on open-air burning from June 1st
The Municipality of Tivat informs citizens that an Order prohibiting the lighting and burning of fires in open areas within the territory of the Municipality of Tivat has been adopted and will be in force from June 1 to September 30, 2026.
The Order prohibits the lighting and burning of fires on all open surfaces, with the aim of preventing fires and protecting people, property, and natural resources during the summer fire season.
Citizens and business entities are required to:
- dispose of all green waste in designated containers in accordance with the procedures of DOO “Komunalno” Tivat;
- refrain from using fire hydrants except for their intended purpose;
- ensure access roads to forest complexes remain passable;
- apply all fire protection measures.
The use of barbecues is permitted only with mandatory fire safety measures and complete extinguishing of the fire after use.
In the event of a fire, citizens are required to immediately notify the Tivat Protection and Rescue Service by calling 123 or +382 32 671 318, while exercising maximum caution and without endangering their own safety.
The enforcement of the Order will be monitored by the Municipal Police, while proceedings will be initiated before the competent authorities against persons who fail to comply with the prescribed measures or cause a fire.
The Municipality of Tivat appeals to all citizens to act responsibly and contribute to the protection of lives, property, and the environment during the upcoming summer season.
