By amending the municipal decision, the construction ban in Tivat will begin on June 1st.

At the next session of the local parliament, councilors will consider a proposal for an amendment to the Decision on the Prohibition of Construction Works in the Municipality of Tivat during the summer tourist season. The proposed amendment will define that the construction ban will come into effect on June 1st and last until September 15th. During this period, starting and carrying out construction works, including building and reconstruction of structures, and excavation of public areas will be prohibited. The current decision defines a construction ban period from July 1st to September 15th.

"Due to the extended duration of the summer tourist season, it is necessary to implement the construction ban much earlier. In the coming years, further tightening of this measure can be expected, in terms of an earlier start and later end of the validity of this decision, all with the aim of increasing the satisfaction of citizens and numerous visitors to Tivat during the summer months," stated the Municipality's Secretariat for Economy.
