New solar benches in Tivat
The company Luštica Development donated two new smart solar benches to the citizens of Tivat, which were installed on the Pine promenade and Magnolia Square. The worn-out smart benches that this company donated to the city in 2016 were replaced with new ones, making Tivat the first municipality in Montenegro to dispose of ecological and high-tech urban furniture of this type.
The manager of the municipality, Patricia Pobrić, stated that it is modern and highly damage-resistant city furniture.
"The benches generate electricity, they have two wireless chargers for mobile phones, and they also represent a form of ambient lighting since they contain LED lights," Pobrić said, thanking the company Luštica Development for this donation.
Benches worth €7,200 are energy independent and contain photovoltaic modules with a power of 99w, GPS, Li-Ion batteries, sensors that measure air pressure, humidity and air temperature, and record information about the total energy produced.
"Improving our immediate environment with energy-efficient solutions in everyday life is part of our aspiration to develop Luštica Bay as a sustainable community. We believe that these multifunctional benches will be very useful for the people of Tivat and visitors, and that thanks to their attractive appearance and performance, they will become a new meeting point in Tivat, especially young people, said Marko Vukašević, head of the sector for cooperation with the local community and the Government.
