The eighth palm tree treatment

The Secretariat for the Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that tomorrow (Tuesday) November 29, 2022, the eighth chemical treatment of Canary date palms (Phoenix canariensis) will be carried out on public areas this year, with the aim of preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil pest ( Rhynchophorus ferrugineus). The treatment will be carried out by the authorized company DOO "Ekoplant" from Podgorica. In case of unfavorable weather conditions (wind, rain), the treatment will be postponed, which the public will be informed about in a timely manner. On this occasion, we also inform beekeepers from the Tivat area to adequately protect bee colonies during the mentioned period.
