The director of the Culture Center, Dijana Sindik, reminded that in the past two pandemic years, the festival did not have a competitive character but a show, while this summer it will take place in its original character. "The pandemic has confronted us with daily re-examinations of our own lives, as well as with asking questions about the future of the world. Illness and wars in a tragic way revived the essential questions of our existence, the fate of the world and man in it. Those questions have always been the key questions of theater art". She pointed out that the slogan of this year's festival is "Masquerade 6+1" and it refers to a motif that has been present in literature and theater since antiquity. "About the human face as a mask, about the mask as the face of truth. Let's disguise ourselves and speak the truth like masquerades, says one character in Vojnović's play Masquerades under the Bath" Seven plays will be shown at the festival, and the audience will be able to see six drama and one dance performance.
