The Municipality of Tivat donated € 5,000 to the Red Cross of Montenegro for the needs of remediation of the consequences of the earthquake in Croatia
As a sign of solidarity and assistance to the residents of the Republic of Croatia affected by the devastating earthquake, the Municipality of Tivat decided to pay € 5,000 to the donor account of the Red Cross of Montenegro, which will forward financial and other funds to the Croatian Red Cross first aid and distribution of emergency aid to the vulnerable population.
"Although the funds are modest, the donation is made "from the heart". We expect feedback from the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Montenegro and the Sisačko-Moslavačke County as we make available the further assistance that the Municipality of Tivat can send to Croatia," the mayor said in a statement.
The Operational Center for Civil Protection of the Republic of Croatia stated that there is currently no need for additional international assistance.
