Tomorrow, the third chemical treatment of palm trees in Tivat

The Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the third chemical treatment this year of Canary Island date palms (Phoenix canariensis) located on public areas will be carried out, with the aim of preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).

The treatment will be conducted by the authorized company DOO “Veterinum” from Ulcinj. In the event of unfavorable weather conditions (wind or rain), the treatment will be postponed, and the public will be informed in a timely manner.

Beekeepers from the Tivat area are kindly requested to adequately protect their bee colonies.
