President of the Tivat Municipality congratulated the July 13

Dear citizens of Tivat and Montenegro, On behalf of the Municipality of Tivat and myself, I congratulate you on July 13, the Day of Statehood and Anti-Fascist Uprising of the People of Montenegro. On this day in 1941, the heroic feat of our people awakened the admiration of the whole of Europe, when, in the darkest moment of history on European soil, a great national liberation uprising ignited the flame of resistance against the occupying forces in small Montenegro. On the same day, at the Berlin Congress back in 1878, the state of Montenegro received its international recognition. Great events, united in one date, have written our history as golden symbols of the deep-rooted freedom spirit that unites us and for which many lives were lost. Celebrating July 13, we cherish and pass on to our descendants the tradition of anti-fascism and resistance to hatred, the strength and sublimity of love, togetherness and harmony among us.
