The Municipality of Tivat has acquired the certificate of the Business Friendly Municipality
The municipality of Tivat has acquired the status of a self-government with a favorable business environment in Southeast Europe. The Regional Council of the Business Friendly Municipality of South East Europe (BCF SEE) made this decision based on the report of the Verification Commission, which determined that the Municipality of Tivat meets the criteria of the City Certification Program, with achieved 83.33 out of a maximum of 100 percentage points.
By the decision of the Regional Council of BFC SEE, the Municipality of Tivat acquires the right to use the name "Business Friendly Municipality", and the certificate validity period is three years.
This certificate is an indicator of efficient local administration and a guarantee that entrepreneurs and investors will be provided with services and information, in a way that facilitates business. "The Municipality of Tivat will work diligently to create the best possible business environment, good conditions for investment and business, in order to directly influence the number of companies that will materialize their business plans in Tivat, increase the number of employees and ultimately, the best quality of life", pointed out on this occasion the president of the municipality of Tivat, Zeljko Komnenovic.
58 cities and municipalities from the region and four municipalities from Montenegro can be proud of the certificate for favorable business environment: Danilovgrad, Bijelo Polje, Žabljak and Tivat.
The regional BFC SEE network brings together more than 20 institutions and organizations, including ministries, chambers of commerce, municipal associations ... It is a platform for improving competitiveness in Southeast European countries through knowledge transfer, exchange of best practices and design and implementation of public administration reforms. The network was established in 2012 by partner institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Northern Macedonia and Serbia, with the support of the German and Swiss governments. Montenegro became a member in 2016.
