The school center hedge planting

On Tuesday, December 27, the Secretariat for Spatial Planning, in cooperation with doo "Komunalno" Tivat and elementary school "Drago Milović", organized an action to plant pittosporum seedlings (lat. Pittosporum tobira W.T. Aiton). Pittosporum is an evergreen species that grows as a shrub or low tree, commonly planted as a hedge because it is relatively easy to care for and tolerates shaping pruning well. The seedlings were planted in a length of about 60m, along the northeastern edge of the school yard towards the main road. In order to create a hedge, the Secretariat for Spatial Planning procured a total of 390 seedlings, and after the winter break, the action is planned to continue. The employees of the utility company took care of the plants in the period from procurement to planting, prepared the ground for planting the plants, and the students did the planting together with the workers of the greenery service.

This environmental action represents the beginning of the establishment of a hedge around the school center, all with the aim of improving the aesthetic and hygienic-sanitary characteristics of these parts of the school yard.
