The Viber community of the Municipality of Tivat has become an important source of information not only for the citizens of Tivat but also for a much wider population, and the information that was placed in English also provided the attention of foreign citizens living in Boka.
"Municipality of TIVAT - Community", formed about twenty days ago, has achieved significant success in a short time, so the information of the local government is monitored by 4,500 members.
The information shared with followers is short and concise, primarily related to the epidemiological situation, activities of city services and authorities, actions of citizens and community members are among the first to receive information on measures of the National Coordination Body (NCT), the Government of Montenegro and the Institute for Public health.
We consider it important to timely place information on the measures that are being taken in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, so that the citizens of Tivat are informed in time and as well as possible about the importance of these activities. We thank the citizens for their great trust and membership. So far, 136 messages, inquiries and requests from citizens have been received and answered via the viber community.
Bearing in mind that, due to the development of the epidemic, Montenegro is in a new, riskier and more demanding phase from mid-March, the Municipality of Tivat has put all its communication channels with citizens - website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, in the function of informing about the epidemiological situation.
