Afforestation action continues

The municipality of Tivat plans to continue the afforestation campaign in the coming period. The first day of afforestation is planned for Friday, December 2, 2022, starting at 11 a.m., at the location of the former Grabovac landfill.

In order to sustain and protect the area, afforestation continues with the agroforestry model.

Agroforestry refers to activities that include the combined cultivation of forest trees and fruits together with other crops, with mutual benefits for people, plants, animals and the environment in general.

In this sense, afforestation will be carried out with seedlings of olive, wild rosehip and needle (chichimak).

The activity is organized by the Secretariat for the Economy and the Secretariat for Spatial Planning of the Municipality of Tivat, and the supply of seedlings was provided by the NGO "Momentum" and the international school "Arcadia Akademy", which will participate in the afforestation campaign with its members and students.

DOO "Komunalno" Tivat will prepare the ground for planting plants.

Interested institutions, organizations and citizens, who want to take part in this action in terms of planting in the field, are invited to join on Friday, December 2, starting at 11 a.m. at the Grabovac location.

In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the action will be postponed.
