Misdemeanor fines issued due to illegal waste dumping and road pollution.
Officials from the Secretariat for Inspection and Communal Oversight have, in the past period, conducted inspections of waste deposition outside designated areas based on citizens' reports and in accordance with the powers granted by the Law on Communal Activities and the Decision on Communal Order. On this occasion, utilizing video footage and photographs provided by citizens on-site, authorized personnel were able to identify the perpetrators of this offense. Legal proceedings were initiated against them, and misdemeanor fines were issued accordingly.
The municipal secretariat urges citizens to respect designated waste disposal areas, thus contributing to environmental preservation.
Additionally, inspections were carried out at the construction site near the "Nikki Beach" hotel, with a focus on vehicles exiting onto municipal roads without prior wheel cleaning, resulting in significant pollution of the local thoroughfare. Offenders were issued misdemeanor fines and instructed to clean the public area and restore it to its previous functional state.
