Public Call for the Allocation of Funds to Support the Development of Craftsmanship

The Commission for the Allocation of Funds has announced a Public Call for the allocation of non-repayable funds from the budget of the Municipality of Tivat, designated to support the development of craftsmanship for 2026. The call is intended for entrepreneurs and companies registered to perform craft activities, in accordance with the list of supported crafts defined in the Program for the Support of Craft Development in the Municipality of Tivat for the period 2025–2028.

“Through this Program, financial support is provided for the purchase of equipment and tools, participation in fairs and promotional activities, as well as for training and education. The support is implemented on a reimbursement basis, covering up to 80% of eligible costs, while businesses owned by women and/or young people under the age of 35 may receive financing of up to 100% of eligible costs,” the Secretariat for Economy stated.

The total budget of the Municipality of Tivat for this purpose is €20,000, with the maximum amount per individual project being €6,000, which is up to 30% of the total available funds.

Invitation for Registration in the Craftsmen Register

The Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs entrepreneurs and legal entities registered to perform craft activities within the territory of the Municipality of Tivat that the electronic Craftsmen Register has been established and is now operational.

The Craftsmen Register represents a public, electronically maintained database of craftsmen operating within the territory of Montenegro, with the aim of establishing a unified, centralized, and up-to-date record in the field of craftsmanship.

In accordance with the amendments to the Law on Crafts (“Official Gazette of Montenegro” No. 54/09, 64/09, 40/11, 84/24 and 89/25), adopted in July 2025, craftsmen are obliged to submit an application for registration to the Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro within three months from the date of the establishment of the Register (March 1, 2026).

The registration procedure in the Register is carried out via the official application link: http://registarzanatlija.gov.me/.

For simpler and more efficient submission of the application detailed user manual is also available with very clear guidelines, and the application submission fee is to be paid to the Municipality of Tivat account number 510-9146777-39.

The Secretariat for Economy notes that craft registration applications are no longer submitted at the Citizens’ Bureau of the Municipality of Tivat, but exclusively through the Craftsmen Register via the above-mentioned link, along with the submission of all required supporting documentation.

Call for Olive Growers to Register Olive Trees

Based on the amendments to the Law on Olive Growing and Olive Oil (“Official Gazette of Montenegro”, Nos. 45/14, 39/16, 84/24, and 92/25), local governments are now required to maintain a Register of Olive Trees.

To establish an accurate and up-to-date record, the Municipality of Tivat notifies all owners and users of olive groves that they are obliged to register their olive trees in the Register of Olive Trees.

Application forms are available on the official website of the Municipality of Tivat as well as at the competent authority for agricultural affairs. Upon registration, each olive tree will be recorded and assigned a unique identification number, which must be permanently and visibly displayed on the tree.

Registration in the Register is an important step for improving the record of olive plantations, preserving olive-growing traditions, and planning support and development measures for olive growing in the municipality.

All olive growers are encouraged to respond promptly to this call and register their olive trees.

Announcement of the Eighth Chemical Treatment of Palm Trees

The Secretariat for Economy of the Municipality of Tivat informs the public that on Thursday, November 6, 2025, the eighth chemical treatment of this year will be carried out on Canary date palms (Phoenix canariensis) in public areas, aimed at preventing the further spread of the red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus).

The treatment will be performed by the authorized company DOO “Ekoplant” from Podgorica. In case of unfavorable weather conditions (wind, rain), the treatment will be postponed, and the public will be informed in due time.

Beekeepers in the Tivat area are kindly requested to adequately protect their bee colonies.
